@estherpphotography So ... when I die I want a photographer there to capture my service. I follow a couple that lost their son and they had a photographer capture the service and burial for them. From time to time they post them and I love it. I love seeing the tear stained faces laughing, capturing a moment of joy in He midst of sadness. I love that when they post these they go back through and can praise God for the life He gave their son and remember the joy they experienced with him. I really am so drawn into these photos. The days our dash between birth and death are few and fleeting but the service you have that celebrates that dash is a fog for people who loose someone so close. So to be able to go back and see the sadness to help you grieve, to know the feel of those who visited, to really remember a celebration that’s just as important as birth for those who know God is beautiful. I don’t know how long before they were able to actually go through the pictures and I don’t know how they

@metal_knight Poem I recited during a funeral today. I was nervous as I'd never done it before as it's the ministers job, but the minister didn't show up so I offered to do it. Just put my head down and did it, and the family were over the moon. I love this job.. #funeral #funeralservice#funeraldirector#undertaker
@confessions_of_an_undertakerChipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire Finally got over 1,000 likes on the Facebook blog page. I know it’s not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things but if you take into consideration I have nearly 400 YouTube subscribers, 1,080 instagram followers and 1,500 twitter followers I’d say that’s pretty good going for a part time blogger. Not to mention 17,000 hits on the main blog site. It makes me so happy that people are reading my content and appreciating what I put out there. I have such wonderful feedback from people all over the world and I really appreciate it. I started this blog not to gain any fame or fortune but to simply educate people and give them a true insight into the UK funeral service. I think it is really important that the industry I work in is portrayed in a positive light and that people when they first walk into a funeral home hope they encounter kindness, consideration and understanding. That is what my profession is all about. Helping people at their most vulnerable and getting them
