Have tried the Intel workaround of disabling the E controller, which defaults to standard VGA and doing a clean install of the drivers TechSpot is dedicated to computer enthusiasts and power users. I would have thought the manual installation approach would have ensured the correct drivers were loading. System detects new hardware and picks up newly installed drivers. When new hardware was detected I browsed to the Intel drivers to be sure the “correct” drivers were loading, I’m ready to give up and just buy a cheap graphics card, as the machine is to only be used in a guest bedroom for people to browse and check email when visiting.

Intel E Graphics Driver Install Had tried to install the new drivers as you recommend, initially, with the same result previously reported. I would have thought the manual installation approach would have ensured the correct drivers were loading.

Yes, my password is: Have only tried disabling the graphics controller as a recommended fix from the Intel website if you cannot change the display settings post installing the new drivers.

When Windows tries to install graphics drivers when you restart, cancel it, then go to the graphics driver executable and double click on it or open it from the “Run” box. This is a new installation on an old very spare Fujitsu Siemens Scenic T.

I’ve located a cheap graphics card, so may just thrown in the towel on this one unless anyone has any more ideas. I downloaded the drivers. Intel E Graphics Driver Install Installed drivers again per your instructions with the same result as all other attempts.
Was hoping for some suggestions or maybe someone knows of a generic driver that would give decent resolution and color. When the system is detecting new hardware it is installing Windows’ generic graphics driver.
